Korea - Demilitarized Zone (DMZ)

Korea trip Oct 2013. "Korea is such a beautiful country but with a sad history." Quoted from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Finally, our last destination in Korea gonna ends with the most dangerous yet safest place in Korea. lol irony right? "The most dangerous place is the safest place" --- famous quote. Anyway, we booked with this DMZ tour 1 online at 46,000 won each. Surprisingly, they replied very promptly! Also, please take note of those days that are not open for visiting for your planning. I was so excited to go that morning and decided to play a prank on my friends by sending them message "Help me tell my mother that I love her if I could not make it back". Then I got scolded when I got back in SG ~.~ cannot take jokes one meh..

Korea - Seoul : Trick Eye Museum + Bukchon Hanok Village + N Seoul Tower

Korea trip Oct 2013. Trick Eye Museum. I have been wanting to go this Trick Eye Museum since forever. Came across a few illusion art pieces in Singapore and found them very interesting. Trick Eye Museum is a special art gallery with paintings created using 'trompe l'oeil' techniques that give each 2D art piece the illusion of being in 3D. Similar optical illusion logic as Mysterious Road (Dokkaebi Road) in Jeju.

Korea - Seoul : Gyeongbokgung Palace + Shopping areas you must not missed!

Korea trip Oct 2013. Gyeongbokgung Palace visiting! To understand more about Korea, you got to immerse yourself in their culture. So here we are paying a visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace. Gyeongbokgung was the main and largest palace of the five grand palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty. Gyeongbokgung literately means "Palace of Shining Happiness". I love visiting places that are different from Singapore. Singapore is too modernized and filled with high rise buildings. Sometimes it is good to step out of your daily pace/comfort zone and experience different thing. You may have new inspiration after that.

Korea - Seoul : Cafes Hopping in Seoul

Korea trip Oct 2013. Cafes hopping is one of the IN things to do in Korea! They have so many interesting cafes to go to. Do you see real sheeps in the cafe before? Been to a Korea-TV-show-filmed-cafe? Cutest cafe ever? A place that you and your pets can enjoy together? Yays to own time own target from now on! Waking up 5 or 6 every morning for 7 days straight is crazy for a holiday! Let's roll..!

Korea - Seoul : Making kimchi + Everland

Korea trip Oct 2013

The disadvantage of joining a tour group is that they will bring you to those places you do not mind skipping... like kimchi making workshop lol

oh well... at least you get to experience their kimchi culture..

What you will need to do is to spread already-prepared-kimchi-sauce onto the lettuce.. lol damn fun~

Just noticed "no photography" sign just behind us. lol and also bf's lettuce was untouched.

Kimchi tasting time! While they were hard selling their kimchi, I was busy eating all the kimchi sample. LOL typical singaporean...

After kimchi making session, we proceeded to Korean traditional dress (Hanbok) wearing session.

Got da zhang jin feel anot? Ok dont have..

Everland

We were so so so lucky to be in time for Everland's halloween theme this year! They have similar halloween night party event as our USS halloween night but we did not manage to go though...

Everland is Korea's largest theme park and is operated by Samsung Everland.. Everything also related to samsung.. #winliaolor lol

See in the background is the T Express rollar coaster. It is the first and largest wooden rollar coaster in Korea. It is also the world's steepest wooden rollar coaster - 77 degrees! ~.~ give me $10k I also dont want lah.. ok lah maybe I'll consider if 100k. #soulsoldtomoney

Looks like our Singapore Flyer

SO CUTE RIGHT THEIR UNIFORM!

We went to this Safari World where is similar to our Night Safari where animals are free to run about.

Even their bus also so cute

Korea - Mount Sorak (Seoraksan)

Korea trip Oct 2013

Yays! Are you ready to see spammed pictures of leave foliage?? ^.^

Finally we were going to Seoraksan! Do you know the best season to go Seoraksan is autumn?? The autumn colours - red and yellow forest - are the beautiful combination in Korea!

Our tour guide told us that it was the peak period to see leave foliage and yesterday the carpark was full with tour buses and cars. Today was still ok though!

Already so pretty when we were heading to the entrance!

Taking the cable car up to the top.

Such a pretty sight! I will let the pictures talk =)

Perfect timing at perfect place

An experience we will never forget.

Now going to Shinheung Temple where is just at the bottom of Seoraksan.

We have conquered autumn! I want to see snow or sakura next time!!

Get off at Seorak-dong (설악동, the last stop)

At the train station back to Seoul, we saw a group of kids (maybe on their excursion trip) are playing around
Then our focus was immediately on the "blond" boy. How did he dye this hair this way? Cannot be his natural hair colour is blond and he dyed black right? lol what a high tech way of dying hair and who the hell dye their kids hair at such a young age?

perfect for emo picture

This barrier is actually built to prevent all the unnecessary spies from swimming over from their neighbour half country if you know where I mean...
