Video: Meet the People of Rainier

Standing 14, 411 feet (4392 meters) in height, Mt. Rainier isn't the tallest peak in the U.S., and yet it still casts a very long shadow over the mountaineering community here. It is perhaps the most iconic mountain in the lower 48, and it remains a proving ground for climbers everywhere. In this video, we get a beautiful look at that mountain, and share the experiences of some of its most famous climbers, including Lou Whittaker, George Dunn, Bronka Sundstrom and Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa. If you've ever wondered why this mountain has held such a sway over the hearts of so many climbers, this video will shed a bit of light on the subject.

Video: Mountain Biking Through the Darklight

This beautifully shot video comes our way from the good folks over at Sweetgrass Productions. It was shot over a period of about three weeks, while following pro mountain bikers Graham Agassiz, Matt Hunter, and Matty Miles as they rode through the open expanses of southern Utah and the lush forests of the Pacific Northwest. Both of those locations are fantastic for mountain biking of course, but these riders rode the trails in the middle of the night, setting up an entirely different looking scene. Watch the video and enjoy the great riding intermixed with interesting light. Truly beautiful.

Video: GoPro Cam Catches 70-Foot Drop Over Outlet Falls

Ever wondered what it feels like to go over a 70-foot waterfall? If you're a sane person, the answer to that question is no! But, just in case, we have this video to help us experience that feat from the safety of our homes. It features pro kayaker Rush Sturges as he drops over Outlet Falls in in Washington state. At the time the clip was shot, it appears that the river was swelling with the spring melt off, and the water is rushing at a fast pace. Paddling a freezing river over a big waterfall isn't my idea of fun, but I'm glad Sturges had his GoPro along for the ride.
